The New Lens
So all the parts finally arrived to convert the 55mm f/1.2 FL lens to an EF mount. It was a bit tricky, but the lens is working well even if it is completely manual. Anyway, here was a quick picture of Bandit, more to follow later!

These cats act like we never feed them! They were begging up a storm, so I refilled their food container.
My parents have this ragdoll cat, she’s around 9 months old and still growing. The blue in the eyes is natural and straight out of the camera!
This is our cat Peanut, hanging out in his favorite chair. (I think he likes it because it rocks when he jumps in it)
So today’s picture was taken with the on camera flash as opposed to my external flash which I would normally use. Why? Well I wanted a picture of the cat on my camera bag (it’s his favorite resting spot when it’s available). Unfortunately, the flash was inside that bag, which would have meant I would have had to move him to in order to get the flash to take the picture of him on the bag. Of course, if I moved him, then he wouldn’t be there for the picture. So instead, I opted for the little pop-up flash instead.
As my second entry for the 365 project, today’s feature is our cats. They keep us constantly amused, especially when they are playing with our dog or when Rebecca is chasing after them. The first one is Bandit, he is Jen’s first cat and she adopted him before we were married. He’s a strange cat because he craves attention and affection from us, but is the first one to disappear when strangers come knocking.
Our second cat is Peanut. He adopted us while we were living in Florida. Jen was out walking our dogs (we had Yorkies at that time) when he came running up to them wanting to play. He was only about 10 weeks old at the time and apparently had been abandoned. We took him to the vet and he was in decent shape, although he did have fleas and ear mites pretty bad. Since he grew up with the dogs, we’re pretty sure he thinks he is a dog. He has no fear of strangers and will come around to check you out if you come to visit.
